英文: Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

中文: 你们智慧人,要听我的话。有知识的人,要留心听我说。
英文: Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

中文: 因为耳朵试验话语,好像上膛尝食物。
英文: For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.

中文: 我们当选择何为是,彼此知道何为善。
英文: Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

中文: 约伯曾说,我是公义,神夺去我的理。
英文: For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.

中文: 我虽有理,还算为说谎言的。我虽无过,受的伤还不能医治。
英文: Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

中文: 谁像约伯,喝讥诮如同喝水呢。
英文: What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

中文: 他与作孽的结伴,和恶人同行。
英文: Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

中文: 他说,人以神为乐,总是无益。
英文: For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

中文: 所以你们明理的人,要听我的话。神断旁不至行恶,全能者断不至作孽。
英文: Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

中文: 他必按人所作的报应人,使各人照所行的得报。
英文: For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

中文: 神必不作恶,全能者也不偏离公平。
英文: Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

中文: 谁派他治理地,安定全世界呢。
英文: Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
第14段
中文: 他若专心为己,将灵和气收归自己。
英文: If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
第15段
中文: 凡有血气的就必一同死亡,世人必仍归尘土。
英文: All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

中文: 你若明理,就当听我的话,留心听我言语的声音。
英文: If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

中文: 难道恨恶公平的可以掌权吗。那有公义的,有大能的,岂可定他有罪吗。
英文: Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

中文: 他对君王说,你是鄙陋的。对贵臣说,你是邪恶的。
英文: Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

中文: 他待王子不徇情面,也不看重富足的过于贫穷的,因为都是他手所造。
英文: How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

中文: 在转眼之间,半夜之中,他们就死亡。百姓被震动而去世。有权力的被夺去非借人手。
英文: In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

中文: 神注目观看人的道路,看明人的脚步。
英文: For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
第22段
中文: 没有黑暗,阴翳能给作孽的藏身。
英文: There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

中文: 神审判人,不必使人到他面前再三鉴察。
英文: For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

中文: 他用难测之法,打破有能力的人,设立别人代替他们。
英文: He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

中文: 他原知道他们的行为,使他们在夜间倾倒灭亡。
英文: Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

中文: 他在众人眼前击打他们,如同击打恶人一样。
英文: He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

中文: 因为他们偏行不跟从他,也不留心他的道,
英文: Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

中文: 甚至使贫穷人的哀声,达到他那里。他也听了困苦人的哀声。
英文: So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

中文: 他使人安静,谁能扰乱(或作定罪)呢,他掩面谁能见他呢。无论待一国,或一人都是如此。
英文: When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

中文: 使不虔敬的人不得作王,免得有人牢宠百姓。
英文: That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

中文: 有谁对神说,我受了责罚,不再犯罪。
英文: Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

中文: 我所看不明的,求你指教我。我若作了孽,必不再作。
英文: That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
第33段
中文: 他施行报应,岂要随你的心愿,叫你推辞不受吗。选定的是你,不是我。你所知道的只管说吧。
英文: Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

中文: 明理的人,和听我话的智慧人,必对我说。
英文: Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

中文: 约伯说话没有知识,言语中毫无智慧。
英文: Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.
第36段
中文: 愿约伯被试验到底,因他回答像恶人一样。
英文: My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

中文: 他在罪上又加悖逆。在我们中间拍手,用许多言语轻慢神。
英文: For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
