| 英文： | So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me. |

| 中文： | 我躺卧的时候便说，我何时起来，黑夜就过去呢。我尽是反来覆去，直到天亮。 |
| 英文： | When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of tossings to and fro unto the dawning of the day. |

| 英文： | Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions: |

| 中文： | 甚至我宁肯噎死，宁肯死亡，胜似留我这一身的骨头。 |
| 英文： | So that my soul chooseth strangling, and death rather than my life. |

| 中文： | 我厌弃性命，不愿永活。你任凭我吧，因我的日子都是虚空。 |
| 英文： | I loathe it; I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days are vanity. |

| 中文： | 人算什么，你竟看他为大，将他放在心上， |
| 英文： | What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? |

| 英文： | And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment? |
